Mission Statement
Academy Real Estate is dedicated to providing premier Resort Real Estate services by understanding our various clients needs, and exceeding their expectations in satisfying those needs. This can only be achieved by attracting, developing, and motivating associates with the highest degree of professionalism in the industry.
Our Management
Our firm was founded in Ocean City, New Jersey, on December 2, 1986. The founder John J. Wristbridge was first licensed as a Real Estate Saleperson in 1974, and became a Broker in 1978. In 1980, he became the Managing Broker for Fox & Lazo's first office in Ocean City. Then, in 1984, he became the Managing Broker for Hager's first South End office. Finally in 2002 he retired from Real Estate. Because of his strong belief in integrity, service and a professional attitude toward the Real Estate Business, Academy Real Estate prospered and grew.
Donald P. Wristbridge, our current Broker/Manager was first licensed as a Real Estate Salesperson in 1987, and became a Real Estate Broker in 1993. In 1979 he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Rutgers University; in 1987 a Masters Degree in Finance from Drexel University; and worked in Commercial Banking as an Auditor and Commercial Lender from 1980-1987. In 2003 he received his license to teach real estate. Like his father Don has a strong belief in honesty and integrity.

Philosophy
We believe that for this firm to be successful, we must set out our philosophy of doing business as clearly as possible. These things, above all else, are important to us:
Integrity: No other single attribute of a person or of a business can have such an impact on success or failure. We believe that every action must be taken with truth and honesty, if we must ask ourselves if it is all right to do something, it probably is not. Honesty in every action, truth in every word.
Service: Our clients and customers have a right to expect outstanding service. We are paid not for our time, but for our service. If we expect to be well paid, we must provide the highest level of service available.
Cooperation: An organization can grow and prosper only when its members work together toward a common goal. Helping one another when possible, accepting one another as we are, and focusing on each others positive attributes will bring harmony and wealth.
Professional Competence: We should never undertake an assignment for a client or customer unless we have the training and experience to do the job. We believe in continuing education, for only by learning better ways to provide service can we enhance our reputation.
Accountability: Sometimes, even the most competent professionals make mistakes. We understand this fact. Our clients and customers must be happy with the transaction, or we shall not get repeat business. If we make a mistake, we must be willing to stand accountable, and to make it right with the customer.
This is our business philosophy. These things, above all else, are important to us. We should not vary from these principles under any circumstances. |
